What to Do in a Coup

Hi there, dear friend,

When all the newspeople I respect (Heather Cox Richardson, Robert Reich*, MSNBC, Democracy Now and Robert Hubbell) all say there is a coup going on when Elon Musk takes over the U.S. Treasury computers, I pay attention.

And I hope you will too. I followed Reich and MSNBC’s advice to contact my U.S. Senators and U.S. Representative and ask them to speak up and speak out and work with others to confront this illegal and mind-boggling event. It’s easy to do so, you can cut and paste my letter below. Then google “Contacting U.S. Congresspeople for my area”.

Here is what I wrote each of my three Congresspeople. Feel free to amend:

Dear ________

I ask you to immediately speak out about Elon Musk having access to the US treasury and shutting out treasury workers. This sounds like a coup to me and I am depending on you to speak up for democracy and the people. Please join forces with other leaders in speaking out. You may be our only hope. Thank you.
